We have been doing expansion joint surveys since 1988. Surveys are an excellent tool for maintenance planning. They can cover all expansion joints in the various systems in your plant, including but not limited to: combustion air, flue gas, cooling water, fly ash handling, boiler penetrations, etc. Each survey can be customized to the customers’ specific needs.
For those expansion joints that are not accessible for direct, visual observation, we use infrared thermal imaging if the situation applies. The infrared images are an integral part of our survey report. Our team is Thermography Level 1 Certified, and uses FLIR thermal imaging technology.
We make flow diagrams of each system and we locate and record the condition of each expansion joint within each system.
Our current reports are presented in searchable PDF format, complete with hyperlinks between the flow diagrams, photo documentation, and data. This allows for easy navigation through the report, which can be especially helpful for a facility with hundreds of expansion joints.
